Bravura Brass

This outstanding brass quintet is returning to our series by popular request. They sometimes have trouble deciding what style of music to play at concerts, so they play a little bit of everything! From classical masterpieces to jazz, Broadway, folk and beyond, the quintet hopes to provide something for every listener. The word "bravura" is defined as "with brilliant technique and virtuosity." Bravura Brass strives to make this the hallmark of every performance. Group members are: Todd Fulginiti and Curtis Palmer, trumpet; Jill Markley, French horn; Tom Owsinski, trombone; and Steve Holgate, tuba.

The Glynellen Trio (Woodwinds and Piano)
The multi-talented members of this woodwind trio, Janine Thomas, Kim Webster and Anne Weiser, perform on six different instruments in diverse combinations. Their instrumentation allows for creative expression and interpretation of many musical styles. The varied program will include selections by composers from the classical, romantic, impressionist and modern eras. We are sure to hear a portion of one of their favorite compositions, Claude Bolling’s Suite for Flute and Jazz Piano.
