Scott Bacon

The Lititz Church of the Brethren is pleased to share that Scott Bacon was called to serve as Director of Music Ministries as of July 1st.

As Director of Music Ministries, Scott is primarily responsible for directing the Adult Choir in its weekly rehearsals and as part of the traditional Sunday morning worship service. The Adult Choir generally begins its music ministry in mid-September and it continues through mid-June. As part of his leadership of the music program for the traditional worship service, Scott will work with the pastoral staff in worship planning and hymn selection, select the music the choir will share, encourage individuals to participate in the choir and arrange for instrumentalists for special services and to accompany the choir. We also look forward to Scott directing one additional music group, such as a Men's Chorus or a Heritage Choir.

Scott brings strong musical experience to this position. Scott is a graduate of Elizabethtown College with a Bachelor of Science in Music Education. Scott has ten years of experience as a choral and class room music at the middle and secondary school level and has experience in directing an adult choir. Since the Director of Music Ministries is a part time position, Scott will continue his work as an Auxiliary Faculty Member and Coordinator of Ensembles in the Department of Music Industry at Drexel University. Scott and his wife, Tammy, live in Lititz.

The congregation is looking forward to experiencing the musical gifts and leadership God has given Scott as we continue to bring individuals closer to God through our worship services.
