Atlantic Northeast District Church of the Brethren
The Church of the Brethren in the USA is divided into geographical regions called districts. In 1867, congregations east of the Susquehanna River formed the Eastern District, later in 1970 to be reformed and named the Atlantic Northeast District COB. District members are guided by scripture, heritage, and the Holy Spirit, creating spiritually healthy New Testament congregations who covenant and network together to further the Kingdom of God. The ANE District has many different ministries that assist congregations within the district. These include church development, ministry, nurture, stewardship, witness & outreach and Hispanic/Latino ministries. In addition to providing financial support, LCOB members participate on the District Board, District Ministries, and as representatives to District Conference. www.ane-cob.com

Through the organization SIM USA, their mission work is funded by sponsors such as Lititz COB, individual members, and many other family, friends, and organizations. SIM is an international non-denominational, mission organization that launches Christian workers into ministry in more than 70 countries. After many years of medical training, Sam will be working as a surgeon, providing much needed medical care in the region. Amanda will also be providing services to the hospital and families of the region and homeschooling their daughter. In addition to financial support, Lititz COB provides encouragement, prayer, communication, and guidance for the Fabianos and their ministry.
Brethren Disaster Ministries
Inspired by Jesus, Brethren Disaster Ministries focuses on rebuilding homes, caring for children, and providing international relief by engaging volunteers, supporters, and partners to serve communities recovering from disaster. Across the United States volunteers are called to repair or rebuild damaged homes for disaster survivors who lack sufficient resources to hire paid labor. Children's Disaster Services meets the needs of children impacted by disaster by setting up temporary childcare centers and using therapeutic activities and toys that stimulate imaginative play. BDM also restores hope for the most vulnerable disaster survivors around the world by supporting coordinated disaster relief efforts, mostly through faith-based international partners, wherever disaster strikes. BDM is a ministry of the Church of the Brethren, a member of the National Voluntary Organizations Active in Disaster, a member of Church World Service and partners with the American Red Cross. Lititz COB supports BDM financially and through volunteerism. www.brethren.org/bdm/
Church World Services
Lititz COB partners with Church World Services locally through CROP Hunger Walks and Refugee Resettlement. CROP Hunger Walks are community-based walk events held in cities and towns across the U.S., raising funds to support the global mission and transformative programs of CWS. Up to twenty-five percent of the funds raised are used in the Lititz community to support local hunger fighting efforts. The Lititz COB has been following the biblical teachings of helping strangers by partnering with CWS Lancaster. For many years the church has aided refugees from Germany, Russia, Romania, Uganda, Myanmar, Cambodia, and Vietnam. Most recently the Lititz COB Welcome committee has teamed up with CWS to provide a home and assistance to refugees from Afghanistan. “In the ultimate act of hospitality, God in the person of Jesus moves into our neighborhood to live with us. As part of our living peace witness, we take Jesus' words seriously. By welcoming strangers, we meet new neighbors, we encounter God, and we also shine Jesus' light into the world at the same time.” (Jim Grossnickle-Batterton, Pastor this quote could be used somewhere on the Outreach page) www.cwslancater.org
